Web3 or Web+ refers to code that runs in the browser but connects to a blockchain such as Ethereum, Polygon, or Avalanche. Web3 applications generally allow users to sign-in using their in-browser wallets, such as MetaMask. This is a new technological frontier so framework, tooling, and standards are still being developed.
